The Dell Axim X5 comes in two versions - Handheld Standard and Wireless Advanced. They look identical, but differ in the CPUs (300 and 400 MHz), RAM size (32 and 64 Mb) and ROM size (32Mb and 48Mb). There's now also a GPS version! The Axim has all the features you need regardless if you use a handheld as a Personal Digital Assistant, for Mobile Internet connection, gaming or advanced industry applications. So you can keep yourself organized with your everyday tasks with familiar applications like Pocket Internet Explorer and e-mail "Inbox", along with a calendar, contacts, voice recorder and a number of other built-in features. The Axim Wireless is the ultimate handheld device to wirelessly browse Internet, chat MSN messenger, send and receive e-mails as it is delivered with a TrueMobile wireless Compact Flash Card for wireless networking (802.11b Wireless LAN or Bluetooth). The GPS Advanced is the amazing flexible and affordable in-car navigation system! It manages route planning, map reading and finding a way around difficult traffic conditions for you. In addition there are numerous features to make travel by car easier and safer. This is my personal favourite as it has door-to-door navigation using house numbers, compatibility with the address book in Pocket Outlook to allow route planning directly from your Contact Database; a 'roadblock' feature allowing instant re-planning around any unexpected obstacles you encounter on your journey, such as traffic congestion and roadworks; a huge store of Points-of-Interest providing location and contact details on a wide range of useful places like petrol stations, car parks, restaurants, hotels and cinemas. With all this, the Axim GPS handheld is still only a fraction of the cost of a built-in car navigation system. It's definitely the smart choice in personal navigation!
